RECALL: 4moms MamaRoo and RockaRoo Infant Swings and Rockers – Entanglement and Strangulation

RECALL: 4moms Recalls More than 2 Million MamaRoo and RockaRoo Infant Swings and Rockers due to entanglement and strangulation hazards with one death reported. Two million MamaRoo swings and 220,000 RockaRoo rockers were sold in the U.S. In addition, 60,000 MamaRoo and 10,000 RockaRoo were sold in Canada.


The MamaRoo Baby Swing is Version 1.0 through 4.0, Models 4M-005, 1026, 1037.  The RockaRoo Rocker is Model 4M-012.  The model numbers are located on the bottom of the units.


When the swing or rocker is not in use, its restraint straps can dangle below the seat and non-occupant crawling infants can become entangled in the straps, posing a strangulation hazard.


ACTION: Consumers with infants who can crawl should immediately stop using the recalled swings and rockers.  Place them in an area where crawling infants cannot access and contact 4moms immediately to register for a free strap fastener that will prevent the straps from extending under the swing when not in use.
